This first book of the ´bible ´as also the other 4 books of the ´Tora´ (´Pentateuch´ for ´fivebook´) was said to be written by ´Moseh´ directed of YHWH (maybe see f.e.: Ex 17.14; Deut 31.24-26; 1Ki 2.3; Joh 5.46-47); ~1500 v. Chr. The Jews call it as its first word in Hebrew: ~´Bereschith´ (~´in the beginning´ => gr: ´Genesis´).
